DESCRIPTION:<p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="a9780dbf-194f-480a-91ff-42a3072e5124" alt="galina belova" data-view-mode="hwp_large"></drupal-media>a talk by Dr. <strong>Galina Belova</strong>, <em>Supervisor of the Center for Egyptological Studies, Russian Academy of Science</em>.</p><p>	Since 2002, a Russian team has been working at Kom Tum, near the Djoser Pyramid complex and the ancient site of Memphis. Excavations surrounding the Persian era palace of Apries have revealed other palaces, fortresses, and temples dating back to the Old Kingdom. This lecture will present the recent results of their excavations and what it suggests about the area over time.</p>
