DESCRIPTION:<p>As part of the "What's New in the Fall of the Roman Empire" lecture series in the Initiative for the Science of the Human Past, <strong>Professor Michael McCormick</strong> will speak on <strong>“The Fall of the Roman Empire: How should we study it in the 21<sup>st</sup> century?”.</strong></p><p>Chairing the talk will be David Reich, Harvard Medical School Department of Genetics, and three respondents will offer comments following the lecture:  Dimiter  Angelov,  Dumbarton Oaks Professor of Byzantine History; Kathleen Coleman, James Loeb Professor of the Classics; and Joseph B.
