The Department of Anthropology, and The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University   invite you to attend the   Archaeology of Harvard Yard (Anth 1130) Excavation Opening   Thursday, September 13, 2018, 12:30 PM Harvard Yard, near Weld Hall ∞∞∞ In Fall 2018, we will again conduct archaeological excavations in Old Harvard Yard. These excavations are undertaken as a course, Anthropology 1130: the Archaeology of Harvard Yard, in which Harvard students will gain academic and field experience in historical archaeology. The excavations are located in the Old Harvard Yard near the location of earliest Harvard structures, which includes the 1638 Old College, first college building in the United States.   We hope you will join us to learn, and share in our living community history, and to acknowledge the Harvard Yard Archaeology Project’s supporters and collaborators.
