Moses Mesoamerican Archive and Peabody Museum Conference - As Above, So Below: Cosmic Roads to Mesoamerican Underworlds

Date:

Fri - Sat, Oct 21 to Oct 22, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Location:

Rabinowitz Room - Harvard Divinity School

The Moses Mesoamerican Archive and the Peabody Museum will be sponsoring a two day conference “As Above, So Below: Cosmic Roads to Mesoamerican Underworlds” (October 21,22) in honor of the Japanese/Mexican archaeologist Saburo Sugiyama. Professor Sugiyama’s excellent work at Teotihuacan, Mexico will be recognized with the fifth “H.B. Nicholson Award for Excellence in Mesoamerican Studies” during the conference.

The conference meetings will be held in the Rabinowitz Room at the Harvard Divinity School’s Library as in past years. But this year new rules for seating in this special venue require that we have a clear list of participants and conference attendees ahead of time so as to not exceed the room’s official capacity. Please contact the Archive Administrator Charlene Higbe (charlene_higbe@harvard.edu) with your request to join us for certain sessions and in fact commit yourself to attending.  We will do our very best to find a seat for you. Please let us hear from you with your request by October 14th. We hope that a number of you will be able to join us for at least one of the sessions.
