    • Talk with a librarian for any question yu might have. They experts at navegating not only the libraries but any resource you might need. You can chat with them, send them an email, or make an appointment for anything you might need.

    • Library Liaisons: Make an appointment with a library liaison to get the help you need to get your work done.

    • Research Consultations: Get personalized guidance from one of our library specialists online or in-person—no question is too small.

    • Research Data Services: Connecting members of the Harvard community to services and resources that span the research data lifecycle.

    • Research Help for Harvard Offices: The Harvard University Archives provides research advice in the use of their collections to University staff working on projects.

  • Events held by the Harvard Librarias. This events are open to the public, Harvard ID holders, and staff.

  • Anthropology Research guideSusan Gilman from the Library Liaison for Anthropology has created a cheat sheet that contains curated lists of the Harvard Libraries resources on the following topics:

  • A complete selection of the Harvard Library Guides.

  • HOLLIS is the library’s main search tool. The Catalog & Articles search (formerly Everything) searches the catalog plus billions of citations. Or you can choose Library Catalog from the drop-down to limit to Harvard collections

    • HOLLIS Database is a tool for identifying specialized search engines and large collections of digital materials. It is a curated subset of HOLLIS records, selected by Harvard librarians.

    • HOLLIS for Archival Discovery: Explore collection guides, finding aids, and inventories to locate unique materials in Harvard's special collections and archives with.

    • HOLLIS Images: Harvard Library's dedicated image catalog. It includes content from archives, museums, libraries, and other collections throughout Harvard University. Access to the catalog is open to the general public.

    • HOLLIS Special Request: Request materials for use onsite in library reading rooms or request copies of library material.

    • HOPE Fund: This program reimburses Harvard researchers for open access journal page charges.

    • Lean Library: Use this browser extension to seamlessly access Harvard Library resources from anywhere on the web.

    • Purchase Request: Have something you'd like to see the library buy and add to our collections? Submit a purchase request.

    • Reproductions: Need a copy? We can digitize special collections items for research or publication.

    • Scan & Deliver: Request library materials and we will digitize and send them to your inbox.

      • HathiTrust: Connect with digitized materials from libraries around the world.

      • JSTOR: is a large full-text archive of journals from all disciplines, with stronger coverage for the humanities and social sciences. It's important to note that the most current years of most titles are not included.

      • O’Reilly Learning Platform: Online access to ebooks and videos that cover a variety of information technology topics.

      • Project MUSE: Online access to an extensive collection of scholarly work in the humanities and social sciences.

      • University Press Scholarship Online: Get online access to recent books from Oxford, Chicago, Columbia, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, Stanford, Yale, and more.

    • Journals:

      • Nature: Connect to Nature, the world's most-cited scientific research journal.

      • Science: Access to Science, also known as Science Magazine, a peer-reviewd academic Journal.

  • Digital Maping and GIS Support: Get help with maps, mapping, geographic information systems, and other geospatial tools, as well as cartographic design.

  • Offsite Records Storage: Need to retain University records? Learn how to set up an account with Records Managemen. Services and work with the Archives to arrange for storage at the Harvard Depository.

  • EndNote: This highly customizable research management software helps you save and organize your references for citation and bibliographie.

  • Zotero: An easy-to-use citation tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research.

  • NVivo: Working with qualitative data and statistics? This powerful software for qualitative research analysis can help.
